Chrigel Maurer
Chrigel grew up in Adelboden, in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. Even as a child, he was fascinated by paragliding. When he took off with a paraglider for the first time at the tender age of 9, he was definitely hooked. After obtaining his paragliding license at the earliest possible age at 16 and completing his bricklayer's apprenticeship, Chrigel turned his passion into a career. Since 2004, he earns his money by testing and helping to develop paragliders, winning paragliding competitions, and coaching and inspiring people with workshops and lectures. Whenever possible, Chrigel combines his endurance training with mountain and ski tours. His two teenage sons have also been infected with the paragliding virus and are eagerly awaiting their 16th birthdays so that they can finally obtain their paragliding licenses.
